The Story Begins Here
Susan was completely freaked out when she first noticed the strange holes in her baby’s nose. She had no idea what had caused this or how dangerous it could have been. But she quickly realizes. She went to the doctor that afternoon, but when he looked at it, he saw that the message for Susan was not good. After determining what was going on, the doctor immediately called the police…
Leaving The Room!
Susan was simply abandoned with no explanation. The doctor had performed some tests on her baby, and when he saw the results, he immediately called the police and fled the room, leaving Susan behind. Susan was beginning to panic as she realized how serious this was…
Breaking The Door Open
Susan turned red when she discovered the doctor had locked the door behind her. She began pounding on the door with her full weight, attempting to break it open. And it gave way after a couple of hits. She was now facing the doctors who had confined her…
The doctor was now forced to explain what he had discovered to Susan, and upon hearing it, Susan collapsed onto the floor… But what had the doctor found out? What were these holes in her baby’s nose, and why were the cops called in?
When Susan awoke to her baby crying, she didn’t notice anything wrong. It appeared to be any other morning. She’d gotten up and shuffled to the bathroom to change Roy, her baby boy’s diaper. She didn’t notice anything wrong while making his milk until she was about to pour it into his cup and she was about to scream.
40-year-old Susan is a single parent. She had dated before, but it had never gone well. She hoped that things would be different this time. She’d spent a significant amount of time preparing for the date. She was hoping for the best because it was their first time meeting in person, but not everything would go as planned.
She met the man online, knowing it was a long shot, but she went out with him anyway. The date was nothing out of the ordinary. He didn’t seem particularly interested in Susan’s child from a previous relationship. After the date, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to see him again.
Susan discovered something strange about baby Roy the morning after her date. Roy appeared to have a bad nose ache, as he kept scratching it. But it wasn’t until she looked closely at it that she realized why his nose was hurting, and it terrified her. What was going on with her baby?
Holes Inside Nose
The inside of Roy’s nose was riddled with small holes. She assumed that something had become stuck to his nose, but as she approached it, she noticed that the holes were digging into his skin. Roy began to cry when she pressed her finger against it. Something was clearly wrong, but what was it?
Perhaps an insect had bitten him or crawled into her infant’s nose? Perhaps it had latched onto his nose during the night? But she’d never seen a bug act like this before. Susan conducted an online search and determined that no bug was responsible. It couldn’t be anything worse.
Susan became increasingly perplexed as she examined Roy’s nose. These were not just small holes. Something was inside the holes. She couldn’t see anything, but she was certain there was something else there. The holes were hard, as was whatever was inside. She needed to do something, and she had the perfect solution.
Susan made the decision to use tweezers to extract whatever was in her baby’s nose. She went to the bathroom and took out her tweezers, but she hesitated before digging into his nose. She had no idea what she was getting herself into. This could make things worse, but she had to do something.
Baby’s Life Is In Danger
Susan disliked doctors. She preferred to handle things on her own. She rarely went unless something was seriously wrong, and as much as she despised the idea of going to the doctor, she knew it was something she couldn’t handle on her own. And her baby’s life was at stake. So she took the risk and dialled the doctor’s number.
The doctor’s office scheduled a semi-urgent appointment for that afternoon. They told her that while there would be others ahead of baby Roy, she would most likely see her by the end of the day. Meanwhile, the doctor told Susan that she needed to do something to help him.
What Was She Up To?
Susan was advised by the doctor to consider anything that had changed recently that could have caused this. Anything unusual or unusual. It would greatly assist the doctor in determining what was wrong. Susan agreed to give it some thought and hung up the phone. What could have triggered this? She didn’t know for sure.
Susan reflected on the previous week. She and her child hadn’t done anything out of the ordinary. She and Roy went on a hike in the woods a few days ago. The baby could have easily touched something out there before. Perhaps a mushroom or a piece of contaminated moss? That is certainly an option…maybe?
Too Many People
Susan kept thinking that the hike didn’t make much sense. Other people had surely hiked on that same trail. It was a well-traveled path. She wouldn’t be the first person to go through this. Other signs would have to exist. She decided to dismiss it as an option, but there had to be another option.
An Average Guy
It was difficult to think of anything out of the ordinary. Susan was a typical young lady. She didn’t do much except hike and visit the local coffee shop. She worked from home and rarely went outside. She was a really boring person until it hit her. Something else was out of the ordinary as well.
Susan had been out on a date the night before. She’d been talking online with a man for a while and had finally decided to go on a date with him. Susan was eager to start dating again. She still hadn’t found her soulmate and was hoping for a good date. Things would eventually take an unexpected turn.
Susan had an uneasy feeling about the man from the start of the date. He didn’t seem to care about her or her child. He almost despised her for being a single mother. But the moment she started thinking this, he’d do something that showed he was invested. It was just an odd date, but there was more to it.
Susan couldn’t remember why he’d contacted her in the first place. Looking through her messages with him, she realized he didn’t really like her. She’d been a little desperate and hadn’t been thinking clearly. Could he have anything to do with it all?
Susan couldn’t see how he could be involved in this. They hadn’t gotten physical, and she hadn’t contacted him since the previous night. He hadn’t even messaged her. Wouldn’t he have said something if he had done something? Susan wasn’t sure, but Roy’s appointment was approaching. She had to leave.
When Susan left for the appointment, she had no idea what was wrong with her baby’s nose. She continued to think as she drove to the doctor’s office, but nothing came to mind. Fortunately, the holes in his nose didn’t appear to be changing much. They’d grown a little bigger and were more visible now, but it wasn’t too bad. Right?
She arrived at the doctor’s office and sat in her car for a moment, trying to think of any other answers. Susan couldn’t come up with anything else. Susan walked into the doctor’s office with her baby and signed in, taking a deep breath to calm herself. She expected to have to wait a long time to see the doctor, but other people had other plans.
Baby Roy was getting a lot of attention in the doctor’s office waiting room. The holes in his nose were visible at this point, and everyone around him was taken aback by what they saw. Susan didn’t notice much until the rest of the people’s interest became apparent.
The other employees in the office didn’t try to hide their interest. The few children present wanted to go look, but their parents prevented them from doing so. Even so, it was as if everyone had forgotten why they were there, with their own medical issues. Everyone was curious about what was going on with the baby. To be fair, Susan did as well.
The doctor then came out to call in the next patient. Everyone in the room agreed that Susan’s baby should be seen first. None of their issues was serious, but Roy’s was. Susan was irritated by this, but she thanked them anyway. It was worrying, but she knew she could wait. The doctor disagreed.
Once inside his office, the doctor was able to examine Roy’s nose properly, and he was astounded. He’d never seen anything like it before. If he had, he would remember. You didn’t just forget about something like this. Furthermore, the doctor had never read anything like this in his medical books. He had no idea.
A Few Calls
The doctor anticipated that this would take some time. He made a few phone calls to have his patients transferred to other doctors on call. Baby Roy needed his attention the most, and he was going to make certain that they found a cure for whatever was wrong here.
While they waited for the results of Susan’s tests, the doctor examined Roy’s nose intently. The strange thing was that baby Roy had been crying earlier, but he no longer did. His entire nose had gone numb. When the doctor pushed on it, it didn’t even hurt. This was a warning sign.
The doctor kept looking into Roy’s nose, and when the first results came back, he was disappointed. The tests he’d ordered had turned up nothing. There were a few more things he could have done, but he needed Susan’s permission first. It would consume a significant amount of Susan’s time. What would his reaction be?
Susan agreed to the tests, and while they awaited the results, the doctor, who had still found nothing useful, posted a few pictures of Roy’s nose on a medical forum. He hoped that another doctor had seen something similar before. It would be some time before they received a response.
Susan decided she needed some fresh air and went to the bathroom while her baby slept. The doctor received a private message from the forum while he was away. He eagerly opened it, hoping for the answer he’d been looking for. And, to his surprise, it was! But it was also terrible news, and everything had to change quickly.
A Serious Issue
Another doctor had seen this condition before, and if they didn’t act quickly, it could become a major problem for everyone, including Susan. The doctor read the message several times, knowing that if the other doctor was correct, he needed to act quickly.
Susan’s doctor awaited the results, which arrived almost immediately after he read the forum message. This was the end. He received the results, and they chilled him to the bone. The other doctor was correct. Susan’s doctor left his office, and the entire place quickly turned upside down.
Susan emerged from the restroom. Roy’s nose was in bad shape. The holes in his nose were beginning to spread. Susan was becoming increasingly terrified, but she knew she had to show the doctor. There was only one issue. When Susan returned, the doctor was not in his office. What was she supposed to do?
Susan was just deciding what to do when she heard a noise behind her. She’d just come through a door that had been locked from the outside! She and her baby were trapped inside. To make matters worse, she overheard the doctor telling others that he had called the cops. What was going on?!
Susan pleaded for an explanation through the door, but no one responded. Nobody was answering her questions because all the nurses and doctors were frantically talking to each other. All she was told was to remain calm until the police arrived. But this was sufficient for Susan.
A Million Thoughts
She was nervous and scared, and the staff’s reaction to the baby’s nose was beginning to worry her. What was the problem? Was he going to perish? A million ideas were racing through her mind. She tried to remain calm, but it was becoming increasingly difficult. Susan was determined not to die!
Those fears were quickly transformed into rage. Why wasn’t anyone talking to her? Susan began to kick at the door because she had no other option. She was desperate to leave. Susan couldn’t hear the doctors on the other side yelling at her to stop because her banging was too loud. She was determined to flee.
Getting A Foot In The Door
The door lock broke after a few kicks, and the door swung wide open. The people on the other side began screaming, and Susan’s doctor took a step back. Susan was panting heavily. It hadn’t been easy to force open the door, but she needed answers and someone needed to tell her what was going on right now.
Susan’s doctor told everyone else to leave and told her to stay. She should avoid getting too close to anyone right now. Susan’s doctor’s fearful expression told her everything she needed to know about her and her baby’s fate, but Susan was determined. She told them she wouldn’t stay unless they answered her questions.
Before her doctor could finish speaking, three armed officers entered the building and noticed Susan. “It’s THEM!” screamed the doctor, pointing at Susan. All three officers took out their pistols and carefully aimed them at Susan, who was now feeling faint. What on earth was going on?!
Susan quickly raised her hands in the air as the cops focused their attention on her. She was almost in tears and begged them all to just tell her what was going on. The police told the baby to stay back because the holes in her nose thumb had taken up nearly half of her nose.
Susan was calmly told by one of the officers that they would tell her everything, but she and her baby needed to be isolated right away. Susan agreed to the terms but stated unequivocally that she would not hesitate to break open another door to obtain answers. She was terrified, and no one was helping her.
Susan returned to the doctor’s office, and the door closed behind her. Susan noticed the staff entering with heavy cleaning materials and immediately began cleaning everything, including the floors, walls, and door. Finally, the doctor arrived at the door to inform Susan of the situation.
Her doctor first apologized for not informing Susan about what was going on. He’d been terrified. It wasn’t every day that a person with a horrible flesh-eating virus came in and he had to go through procedures he’d never had to go through before. He felt terrible, but there was more.
He asked Susan about her activities the day before. Susan had gone on a hike before going on a date that night. Fortunately for Susan, the bad date had not been the root of all of this. Instead, the baby most likely came into contact with an infected plant while on their hike. Which one, though?
Susan was at a loss for words. She told the cops and his doctor about the route he’d taken and what she’d seen that could be useful. She didn’t know what else to do. She was more concerned with the treatment plan. Could they possibly treat the baby? Or is this virus going to eat his nose off?
Fortunately for Susan, the hospital had the necessary medication, but the baby had to be isolated for a while. The police had been called because they needed to speak with Susan about her hike, but when they saw her leave the isolated room, they panicked because her doctor had panicked. It was a huge shambles, but there was more.
They also had to make certain that no one else became infected. Susan and Roy were safely transported to a better hospital where they could be isolated and treated for the virus that was eating his nose away. Fortunately, the medication stopped the virus from spreading and began reversing the problem within a few days. What about the plant, though?
Locating The Plant
The officers had kept everyone off the trail and had discovered a plant that was not native to the area after extensive searching. It was tested and determined to be the source of Susan’s issue. It was uprooted and destroyed. There haven’t been any more cases since, and Susan was completely recovered and ready to go on dates again within a month.
